Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the QuickReg mobile application ("the App"). By creating an account or using the App you agree to be bound by them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old. The App is intended for licensed plumbers and apprentices working in Australia.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised use. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — Settings → Your data → Delete account.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- QuickReg offers a free tier with a daily query limit and ads, and a paid Pro tier with unlimited queries and no ads.
- Pro subscriptions are billed and managed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, not by us. Prices, taxes, and renewal dates are shown in the store before purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel via your store account; we cannot process cancellations directly.
- Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.
- We don't issue refunds. Apple and Google handle their own refund policies; contact them directly.
4. Information, not professional advice
QuickReg is an information-retrieval tool. It does not provide professional engineering, regulatory, or installation advice. Answers are generated by an AI model from a snapshot of regulation excerpts and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. You must always:
- Verify any answer against the current official edition of the relevant regulation before relying on it for installation, sign-off, certification, or any other professional purpose.
- Apply your own qualified judgement and the requirements of the licensing authority for your jurisdiction.
To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim liability for loss arising from reliance on QuickReg's output, including loss of profit, business interruption, certification rejection, rectification cost, or third-party claims.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the regulation corpus.
- Resell or redistribute QuickReg output as a substitute for the underlying regulations.
- Submit content that's unlawful, harassing, or violates someone else's rights.
- Use QuickReg to evade rate limits, spam queries, or otherwise interfere with the service.
6. Intellectual property
QuickReg's UI, brand, and software are © QuickReg. The plumbing regulations themselves remain the copyright of their respective publishers (Standards Australia, the Australian Building Codes Board, and others). QuickReg surfaces excerpts under fair-dealing principles for the purpose of education and professional research.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that risks the service for others. You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
